Presidential candidate Pranab in Doon on July 10

Dehradun: UPA’s Presidential candidate and former Finance Minister of India Pranab Mukherjee will be visiting Doon Valley on July 10 to garner support for the upcoming presidential elections.

According to Congress party spokesman Rajiv Maharshi, Mukherjee will arrive in Doon at ten in the morning on July 10. Thereafter he would be meeting party MP’s from Uttarakhand, all the Congress and its associate parties’ MLAs and other senior leaders of the Uttarakhand region. Apart from the obvious motive of garnering support, he would also discuss other major issues of the region.

All the MP’s, MLA’s of Congress and other associate parties, independents have been informed accordingly. It may be noted that Mukherjee who might not enjoy the support of Mamata Banerjee’s TMC is still hoping to get 65 percent of the total valid votes in the upcoming elections.
